Professional Land Clearing in Bonfield, Ontario

If you own property in Bonfield, you already know how quickly land can become overgrown and difficult to manage. Between thick bush, mixed soil conditions, and years of natural growth, getting a property cleared and usable takes the right equipment and experience.

At Canada Brush Control, we work with property owners throughout Bonfield to clear land, open up space, and prepare properties for what comes next—whether that’s a new build, expanding usable land, or reclaiming an area that’s been left untouched.

Every property is different, and in Bonfield especially, you can run into a mix of sand, clay, and rock within just a short distance. Knowing how to approach each section properly is key to getting a clean, functional result.

Land Clearing in Bonfield Comes with Its Own Challenges

Land clearing in Bonfield isn’t always straightforward. While some areas have more workable soil compared to nearby regions, it’s common to run into mixed conditions—sand in one section, clay in another, and pockets of rock throughout.

We’ve worked on properties where conditions change within just a few feet, which means every job needs to be approached with flexibility. What works in one part of the property may not work in another.

On top of that, many properties in Bonfield have been left to grow in for years. Thick brush, overgrowth, and limited access can make even smaller jobs more involved than they appear at first.

Having the right equipment and knowing how to work with the terrain makes all the difference in getting the job done efficiently and properly.

Land Clearing Projects in Bonfield, Ontario

Every property in Bonfield comes with its own set of conditions, and no two projects are ever exactly the same. From mixed soil and overgrown bush to properties that haven’t been touched in years, the approach to each job needs to be adjusted based on what’s in front of us.

We’ve worked on a range of projects throughout Bonfield—from clearing land for new builds to opening up properties and reclaiming usable space. In many cases, it’s not just about removing trees, but improving access, managing uneven terrain, and preparing the land so it can actually be used moving forward.

The projects below highlight some of the work we’ve completed in and around Bonfield, showing the process from start to finish.

Project: Brush Hogging & Pasture Reclamation – Bonfield, Ontario

This project in Bonfield focused on bringing an old farm property back to life. The client had recently purchased the land and wanted to reclaim the existing fields and pastures so they could be used again for horses.

Over time, the property had become heavily overgrown and neglected. What was once open pasture had filled in with thick brush, tall growth, and hidden obstacles that made the land difficult to use.

We came in to brush hog and restore the fields, cutting everything back and opening the space up again. Like many older farm properties, the job came with its share of challenges—hidden boulders, buried debris, and unexpected obstacles left behind over the years.

Working through it section by section, we were able to fully reclaim the pastures and bring the land back into usable condition.

By the end of the project, the fields were opened up, cleaned up, and ready for immediate use—giving the property owner exactly what she needed to start using her land the way it was intended.

Project: Hydro Trenching for New Home Build – Bonfield, Ontario

This project brought us back to a property in Bonfield that we had cleared the year prior, this time to complete the next phase of the build—installing over 450 feet of hydro trenching to run power up to the new home.

With the main clearing already completed, this stage focused on trenching the full run and working carefully through the existing layout to ensure everything was properly prepared for hydro to be connected.

Like many jobs, this one came with an unexpected challenge. The excavator we were using had been switched into backhoe control mode at the request of the property owner, but during the changeover, the control switch failed—leaving the machine stuck in backhoe mode for the duration of the project.

Working through that meant adapting on the fly. It required getting comfortable again with a control setup I hadn’t used in quite some time, all while keeping the job moving forward and maintaining accuracy throughout the trenching process.

In the end, the trench was completed, the run was fully prepped, and the property was ready for the next stage of the build.

Project: Field Leveling & Pasture Preparation for Horse Safety – Bonfield, Ontario

This project brought us back to a previous customer in Bonfield to rework and level a section of field that had previously been used for dog breeding and training. Over time, the ground had become uneven and filled with holes, drops, and buried debris, making it unsafe for horses.

The goal was to turn this area into a safe training space for horses, where proper ground conditions are critical. Uneven terrain and hidden hazards can lead to serious injuries, so this type of work needs to be done properly before the land can be used.

We went in to remove hazards, rework the surface, and level out the field to create a smooth, consistent grade. Every pass was focused on eliminating problem areas and restoring the ground so it could be used safely and confidently.

By the end of the project, the field was fully reworked, leveled, and ready to be used as a proper horse training area.

Project: Property Expansion & Driveway Clearing – Bonfield, Ontario

This project brought us to a property in Bonfield where some initial clearing had already been done to allow the homeowner to get started with access and early stages of a new build. We were brought in to take it further—opening up the property properly and shaping it into usable space.

A big part of this job involved working along approximately 500 feet of driveway, clearing both sides to widen the corridor and improve the overall layout of the property. From there, we expanded the cleared areas to match exactly how the homeowner wanted to use the land moving forward.

As we worked through the property, we cleared additional sections, opened up the space, and handled everything needed to bring the site together. Like many jobs in this area, it wasn’t just about clearing—it was about refining the layout and making the land functional.

Along the way, we even came across some unexpected finds, including classic car parts and a square body Chevy, which made for a bit of a unique moment on the job.

To wrap things up, we focused on the final cleanup and detailing—removing remaining debris, tidying the site, and making sure everything was laid out clean and ready for the next stage of the build.

By the end of the project, the property was fully opened up, cleaned up, and set up exactly how the homeowner envisioned it.
